WELCOME

The Department of Chemical Engineering comprises around 230 professionals dedicated to teaching and research. Its functions can be divided into:

Teaching: Participating in courses and academic programs that prepare students to master complex processes [...] enabling them to perform tasks in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and environmental sectors, among others.

Research: Offering research programs that, due to their quality and design, can attract top students and researchers from around the world to generate knowledge in the fields of chemistry and materials science. Through its research groups, the department contributes to addressing the needs of human society.

Management: The Department of Chemical Engineering manages its own budget and is functionally responsible for all personnel within the department. It also oversees research facilities and student laboratories.
