Bio
Carme Güell graduated in Chemistry, with a mention in Industrial Chemistry at Universitat de Barcelona in 1986 and obtained a Ph D in Chemistry from the same university in 1991. She became Assistant Professor at the Universitat de Barcelona in 1991 and then became Assistant Professor at Universitat Rovira Virgili (1994-2000) and Associate Professor (2000-currently). She worked as post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Viticulture and Enology of the University of California, Davis under the supervision of Prof. Roger Boulton (1991-1992) and in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering of the University of Colorado, Boulder under the supervision of Prof. Robert Davis (1995-1996). She has been visiting professor at the Food Process Engineering Group of the Wageningen University (February-July 2011).
