Bio
Francesc Medina Cabello, graduated in chemistry at the University of Barcelona (1981), and completed his education at the University of Rovira I Virgili (MASc; PhD) (1993). Post-Doctoral Research at CNRS University of Montpellier (1995). In 1997, I became an Associate Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at the Rovira I Virgili University and in 2009, full professor of Chemical Engineering in this University. He has obtained ICREA award in 2009 and distinguished professor of the Rovira I Virgili in 2014. My research topics involves chemistry, engineering, materials science, catalysis, fine chemistry, photocatalysis, and biomass valorization. I have been Responsible of the Chemical Engineering Degree (2015-2018) and Vice-rector of Transfer Innovation and Technology (2018-2022). I am the director of the Innovation Center AMIC, Tecnio Center of the Generalitat of Catalunya, leading and director of research in the Spin-off Aplicat Sl. I have participated in more than 150 research projects, and more than 180 projects with the industry. I have published more than 240 scientific papers in International Journals of high impact index and supervising 40 PhD theses.
